
Dr. Esha Gollapalle is a board-certified anatomic and clinical pathologist. Additionally, with fellowship training in GI pathology from UCSD and surgical pathology from UCLA, she offers specialized skills in complex GI and hepatobiliary diagnostics. Furthermore, her academic background includes Summa Cum Laude honors from East Carolina University, as well as Cum Laude honors at St. George’s University School of Medicine.
Beyond her clinical expertise, Dr. Gollapalle has also presented research at national conferences, including groundbreaking studies on rare renal tumors and Merkel cell carcinoma. Moreover, her research has been published in the prestigious American Journal of Clinical Pathology. Prior to her fellowships, she served as Chief Resident at Mount Sinai/St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital, where she demonstrated strong leadership in medical education by organizing curricula and mentoring junior residents.
Beyond her diagnostic work, Dr. Gollapalle maintains an active role in pathology education. She has conducted teaching sessions for GI fellows and residents that covered normal liver histology and complex case reviews. Her early scientific research on DNA damage in breast cancer cells, demonstrates her depth of research experience. Dr. Gollapalle combines rigorous training with meticulous attention to detail in her diagnostic work. She provides exceptional pathology services to the Bay Area medical community while continuing to advance the field through academic contributions.
